New Stihl 440 carb sucks. Does anyone make aftermarket carbs for saws?

I bought a 440 two years ago and have no problem with it so far. what's this about adjing the carb after first ten hours of use? My dealer diden't know anything about it, he said if it runs fine don't adjst.

The factory adjusts the H end carb to be slightly rich, and then after a "break-in" period you would then make a tiny adjustment to the leaner side. They used to be "quite rich" but with EPA, the adjustment is now slight. It was in the owners manual (not sure if it is today). Most users (except everyone on AS!) wouldn't notice the difference...

Low end idle - different problem.. adjust as required, but if it idles and starts, don't bother.
