Sold NIB Never fueled Stihl 462

New Stihl 462 powerhead only. I am selling a couple saws I’m going to be out of commission for about a year both rotator cuffs torn plus torn labrum also just had eye surgery. This 462 is new in box never fueled, I do have a set of used dawgs off of 461r as well.this saw has 2 yr warranty you know the drill I bought the 6 pack of stihl mix oil.I use Motul oil, but that’s how you get additional yr of warranty.I don’t know how you transfer warranty but maybe someone on here does. I’m asking 1100.00 shipped to lower48.

O k thanks for info. I thought dealer could change warranty my mistake, If someone got saw I could give them my info I guess if it needed warranty work.

Both bar and chain combos are 50 gauge 3/8. Price for nib never fueled 462 plus bar and chain combo you prefer is &1000.00 we split shipping. I don’t believe you will find a better deal on a new 462. I have been watching this one with interest, but just cant pull the trigger.

For anyone else seriously looking at buying, I contacted STIHL USA by email asking about how to transfer the warranty. They replied that the warranty stays with the saw, the name of the original purchaser doesnt matter.

I went back to them for conformation, as the STIHL warranty pamphlet explicitly states that only STIHL USA can transfer the warranty, and they replied that the only issue would be if the saw was originally bought in another country. As long as the original purchase was in the US, the warranty stays with the serial number.

Thanks for your time & research, it is much appreciated. Saw was purchased 2/09/19 & as stated it is a 2 yr warranty. I can appreciate not being able to pull the trigger. I’m much the same way with a big purchase,I use to make my living falling timber & buying a new saw every year was a necessity. Got paid on production (busheler) now I’m just a firewood,occasional faller etc .harder to justify a big purchase. Thanks again for your time!!

Follow up - I got the saw last night, and it's definitely in new condition!

Since there's no real feedback system on this site, I'll just leave it here: I would absolutely do business with @gyp69 again. Fantastic guy to deal with. Felt like I was doing business with an old friend and not just someone I was buying something from. Item is as described, communication was fast and complete. Couldn't possibly ask for more.

Did you sell all three saws or still have one 461? Just curious.

They all sold. but Montana Ted was gracious enough to let me back out of selling before we did the deal so I could keep my (old) saw. So it would be his to say yes or no if I sold it. But the new 461 ported saw went to Pa. Dave the guy that bought it says it runs like a raped ape.did you get your handle on 064?I would like to see a pic of that saw sometime.

Yep, got it installed and it’s badass. Think I’m gonna swap to a half wrap brake flag so the angle matches the handle bar
