stubnail, I looked up your model on sears parts.com and the crankcase does look like the 2900. The sears crankcase/cylinder part number is 530071490. The poulan website 2750 2900 crankcase/cylinder part number is 530014943. The poulan website 2900 crankcase/cylinder part number is 530014943. Here is a 2900 IPL. http://weborder.husqvarna.com/order_static/doc/NUIS/NUIS2008/NUIS2008_530081399.pdf outdoordistributors.com IPL's are not working so maybe someone has a older IPL that would list your (sears 530071490)crankcase/cylinder number.

Parts Lookup website shows 530071490 as the cylinder for the PP295 & PP4620AV.

After reading this Poulan thread I am on the hunt for some older ones! I have had a few bad experiences with the poulan and swore them off. The older ones seem pretty good from what I have read on here. I have always been a die hard Stihl head! second Husqvarna. Thanks for helping me see the light !!!!!
I hope I attached the pic right. It is an old Poulan I was looking at.

Well I stumbled on a 2375 Wildthing today that came home with me.

Someone broke the end of the crank off when putting the clutch on it. I might have a crank here for it.

Going to pull it down and give it a go through, see if I can catch up with Arrowhead, but he set the bar very high. I'm thinking turbocharger? LOL

pics ???

maybe as you fix it up modify it ya can take some pics of the process to help some of us challenged folks LOL you know like through the process type pictorial?

Turbos have that nasty lag, weld another WT to that one, to power a supercharger.

Try grafting a MAC 850 engine in there. It is a clamshell. That should keep Arrowhead at bay for a bit.

As promised here are a couple of pics of the new (to me) 5.2 and a couple of the "red headed stepchildren" the 4.2 that I got from jnl502 and the new 5.2.

Congrats mopar great looking saw to add to your collection.

LOL!!
I take it you have seen the movie?

I haven't seen the movie "The Full Monty", I was referring to the phrase "The full Monte.

Coined by association with a tailor named Montague Burton.
When someone wanted a full set of matching clothing from "hat to heels" they were reported to say, "Give me the Full Monte".
Just one more snippet of worthless information sloshing around in my head!

Now that's a nice pair of red saws Mike.

Bob, it is the carb mounting bolt towards the pull start side of the saw that is the pain not the clutch side bolt.

Are you sure? I'm not at home to check but I'm positive the difficult bolt is the lower one on the right side of carb, which is on the clutch side of saw. Heaven knows I've had it off often enough.

I picked up a 2375 WT yesterday also Mark. It runs great and I don't know if I'll be doing any porting to it because I have no idea how to. I'll just have the slowest one at the GTG's LOL.
