Picked up a craftsman 3.7 ,358.354831 (poulan 3700) with a busted rear handle half. Went and bought the handle half and now, after 5-6 months im finally starting the repairs. Noticed in the craftsman ipl (also poulan 4000 but not 3400) that theres sposed to be a trigger spring (poulan and cman part number - 25469) that i dont have. Also the trigger for the cman and the 4000 have same part number (26013) whereas the number for the 3400 is different (24249). All the pix look the same. Whew!
1. Do i really need a trigger spring? Wont the carb spring operate the trigger?
2. If i do need one does anyone know where i can get one?
This saw is prime candidate for fixing and flipping. Id hate to waste time on something as minor as looking for a spring the size of my little finger tip

Yeah, that's what the sticker on the side of the saw says, but if you look at the EPA sticker it's a 42 cc engine. I'm trying to figure out what its Poulan model number is.

358.360260
WAG cylinder and piston shows fitting 1950 1975 2050 2150 222 2375 etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc
