Oak Tree Has Mushrooms?????

WHAT DO YOU DO WITH AN OAK TREE THAT HAS MUSHROOMS GROWING OUT OF THE TRUNK????? THIS IS A RECENT DEVELOPMENT???? IS THE TREE DOOMED?????

The presence of mushrooms indicates that there is some sort of decay going on in the tree. It doesn't necessarily mean it's doomed, but you should definetly have an arborist take a look at it.
