]We live here in Central Ma near Mt watchusetts.
We had alot of snow so the trees were well hydrated well into the spring.
The snow and ice did not melt till late april.
I dont think the short drought is what is affecting our oaks. When looking around it seems to be in bands. Some areas are hit very badly.
Last fall there was a major infestation of a spore on the trees. Wondering if that had anything to do with the health of them that rendered them weak? I think this needs further investigation.
Remember two years ago the drought was pretty bad,, tree tops dwindled but recovered nicely. Not like this, This seems to be something more that a fost/drought. Any furthure ideas??
