This is the official trailer thread for all things trailer, loaded unloaded it doesn't matter, big or small too. Atv skidders ate good to as are wagons. Let t the pics begin

(I post mine from the other thread later I'm on mobile now)

Tractor supply carry on no floor 4x8 with some extras bolted on.
I figure it can hold 1/3 of a cord, stacked to the rails. too much for the road, but no big deal to go from the splitter to the stacks.
Hauling rounds home I've carried 1/4 cord, taking it slow and easy.

Have about $400 in this trailer. Bought new tires for it and cut out the beater bar and removed the chain. Great trailer that hauls roughly 1/2 cord of wood.

My dad made this in 1982 - 4x8. No springs and evenly balanced meaning good to haul with tractor and atv, but will wag down the road if not front loaded. I can go 45 max comfortably. IMG_2503.JPG It is licensed, but serves it purpose better in the woods. Works great sneaking through narrow trails between trees, and still holds 1/2 cord.

I guess I've been posting pictures of my trailing equipment to various Unofficial threads all these years.

I use this one to move from my various piles for delivery. It is about 100"x54" with 18" sides. I figure with only a little mounding I am getting half a cord on it. It is balanced, so I pull it to the driveway with the ATV, then switch to behind my truck for delivery.

Or, if the lawn/cart path conditions support not rutting, I just load truck and trailer directly from the piles:

But, I snake around the woods, trying not to make roads/ruts, or cut trees for access, so I often use this much smaller cart for getting out of the woods:

It also pulls better in the snow:

And, every once in a while, I want to move a log, to get it off a pile of rocks, or out of a mound of briars, so I hitch my home made log arch and give a pull:

In the woods I use this trailer that I built last year to haul out some firewood behind the tractor or atv .

I'll put up some pics of my 5'x8' tandem dump after I get it's mid-life refit done .

My 1947 Ben Herr Jeep trailer
built some small sides for it. Split and stacked I can get ~ 1/2 cord
works great because I can unload it all from the ground without having to get in.

A LOT of Norway Pine a few years ago from storm cleanup on a 24' PJ Gooseneck. The neighbor estimated a load shy of 20k on the deck. I loved pulling that trailer with my old truck. Pulled like a dream even when loaded real heavy.

My atv scrounger/yard trailer. These are made by my Dolmar dealer and it tilts. The decking is popple and sides pine I think, all milled from trees on his property.

Loaded up with the steel to shoot in the pit at the foot of the driveway. It's a great trailer. I use the heck out of it.

I''ve got a little 5 by 8 that I picked up off of craigslist for 250. Galvanized which is nice but ugly. It's missing the front but there's pt 2x8's lag screwed in until I make something. It's a discontinued line so I was able to find a new front but it was over 300. Trailer cost me less.

Oh, and it dumps too. I had to wire it initially, the guy gave me the light kit. I didn't account for the extra wire needed to dump the bed and 2 of them snapped. Kinda pissed cuz I had to solder them back together and I suck at soldering but it was actually kind of funny if you saw my face change from smiling to frowning thesecond I pulled the pin to dump it.

Without a doubt, the most valuable of them all.... I think I may have a trailer problem....~$200 a year registration plus $40 inspections on 4 of them. :(

My new 5'x8' galvanized landscaper trailer has a removable tail gate and is stoutly built with a 3500lb axle.

My ten year old 5'x10' trailer has hauled tons and tons of firewood, as well as furniture, wood pellets, lumber, patio slabs and everything else I hauled over the years.
I'm rebuilding it with a 3500lb axle and new 1/4" thick cross members and tongue.

Me on the old Craftsman lawn tractor with my garden dump-trailer.
It's been very handy for hauling materials around my property and I bought it used for a song at $80.

Anybody use one of those old heavy duty military trailers? Been kicking around the idea of picking one up for the farther out trips in the woods for firewood. I also think it would sit better on my lifted dodge than a normal low utility trailer.
