Chestnut has a density slightly higher than aspen so maybe you guys are right. I was having a brain fart and thinking chestnut oak which of course is quite dense.
 
Thought they are out here. Oh well. Not in the Midwest.

I made a mistake on where the Chinkapin listed above grows. This tree is native to the SE US, and not the Pacific NW. There is a shrub/tree that is locally called Chinkapin in the Pacific NW, but it is not the same as the one listed above. In any event, neither are usually found in Wisconsin...
