I have an old craftsman saw. It used to run great then the fuel lines rotted out. Replaced them and it ran fine for a year. now the saw screams like its very lean. no matter what i do with the high end adjustment it will do the same scream and die. what could be the problem? what controls the rpms on these things?

Maybe you have another cracked line...or one of the new lines is coming off?

I have a couple of the Roper 3.7 CI Sears saws. They have a link connected to the trigger that pumps the chain oiler (I think?). One of mine was hanging up the throttle linkage and it ran like the idle adjustment was cranked in. Might be worth a check.
