i bought this splitter off craigslist last year and was wondering if anyone could id it for me? also the valve doesn't work right and i have tried everything to correct the way it works to no avail and am thinking about putting a normal valve on it but idk how to go about doing so since the lines are welded to the cylinder so if someone could explain to me how to splice in a normal detent valve that would be great also.

I think thats someones shop-built machine, they used what they had, a trunion mount cylinder & the valve. A good welder could put two ends on those pipes to adapt them to NPT , then just buy a new valve. Otherwise your're looking at replacing the cylinder too, either with another one mounted similar or extending the bed longer [need a good welder for that too] do-able, but could get pricey if you have to hire it all out.
