On TreeCo's suggestion, I bought a copy of the book "On Rope" by Padgett and Smith. It's a good book.

I bought my copy, used, from Alibris.com (a great source for used and out-of-print books, by the way -- you can save LOTS of $) and got a good deal on it, but I was browsing the Wesspur catalog the other day and saw that they sell the book.

On page 4 of the Wesspur catalog I have, they advertise the book as having "500+ pages."

On page 93 of the same Wesspur catalog, they advertise the same book and claim it has 380 pages.

My copy has 337 pages.

Anybody have this book? How many pages does yours have?

If my copy is shorter, I wonder what content I'm missing...?

(Mine is © 1987, Fourth Printing 1992, ISBN 0-9615093-2-5.)

Mine is 336 pages plus 45 pages of Glossary and Index.
382 pages total.

(The 1996, New Revised Edition)

I'm guessing they must have reorganized/added something.
