Replacing an 026 piston with a meteor.

What do you guys think about honing? Is it critical? Can I skip it if I just use a scotch brite pad after an acid wash? There's some aluminum buildup but nothing unmanageable. I'm sure the opinions are going to differ.

Thanks.

Quite a few debates about it here previously. You really need to judge it by the condition of your cylinder. If there is not that much transfer then you may get joy out of sitting there for hours just rubbing it gently with the ultra fine paper. Otherwise you can read the threads about cylinder hones and be done with it fairly easily. :msp_ohmy:
