I was wondering if someone could guide me in choosing a style/name of paint and primer to use on restoring an old pioneer saw. I used some Canadian tire paint to semi match yellow, and spray clear coat. I put some gas on the finished product after a few days...... and it stripped the paint to the metal.... Not a good move I know, but if someone can explain some basics I missed, this would help a lot.

I can't help ya at all, other than to suggest the chainsaw forum here, some true saw heads over there that probably can point ya in the right direction...good luck
