Sold PAIR OF STIHL MS 440's PHO

I have two good saws FOR SALE: One is a non decomp 440 and the other is a newer comp model.

The 440 no decomp, is in good Woking order, newer tank, new single ring ported build, dual port. I have put three tanks threw this saw andit runs very good and pulls a 24" bar with authority. 150 compression.

440, This saw has been totally gone through. New bearings, seals, rings, gasket delete and slightly ported. Dual port. This saw very good and I have used it quite a lot. In pictures its dirty but will clean up.

Both saws are too working saws. Scratches,dings and each have a repaired crack or split in air cleaner cover.

Both saws have 150 lb of compression

I would like to get $400 PHO for either plus shipping. (FYI,shipping east has been running about $50 and west $35 with insurance.

very nice pair of saws. i had been in the market for something similar but could not find anythingin decent shape. found a demo 461 at local dealer for 800. story of my life, day late. think you should sell those quikly. good price.

Sorry about your timing.....kinda like mine!! LOL

Thanks for the input. I wasn't sure where I was at on price. Tryed to sell locally on CL for $450 with 24" bar and chain and got offers of like $150-200. Have over $300 in new parts in the one saw.

who did the port work? and are you at high altitude, comp seems low to me for a gasket delete. not knockin your saws, just curios. and yes i may be interested.

I did the port work and at 4000 ft. Most saws seem low. 150 here is a good number for the most.part.

Boggles me that all the hype on 044/440's and these are still here. Maybe a video of them in action would help?

If I hadn't just gotten another 460 and a 044 I'd be all over these. I still keep looking at the pictures everyday even though I really don't need another.

I need another 44 like I need a hole in my head. I was barely able to justify my second 044 to her. I don't see her being so understanding on a third, Especially since she is on a " I need new furniture" kick

Ya she just found out about a gun I bought last year. So she got back at me for going and ordering a new .357 mag with brushed nickel finish and 6 in barrel. Oh darn she got me good I tell ya. So now my thinking is if I bring home projects she will go and get me new saws. Or shoot me with her new .357
