Plus , you haven't been in the arboriculture major for long. It's taken me two years to get some real classes. In the first two years of school for urban forestry majors, only one "Forestry" class is scheduled - and it has nothing to do with urban trees. In fact, the instructor bad mouthed urban trees almost daily because he dislikes anything but native trees. :eek: Boring.

This year, I went to a tech school in addition to the four year college so I could get a climbing education. Plus, I pushed my advisor to sign me into a Landscape Architecture class and an Urban Tree ID class - I'm so glad I did it. Those two classes are nearly the reason that I'm here, that I'm involved in the SSA, and that I have the passion for trees that I do.
