Scott is correct. The NiSi coating on the cylinder bore is worn all the way through below the intake.

Well damn. I thought it didn't look that great but I am a greenhorn at this stuff so I wasn't sure. Can I go a little on the crazy side with it and still put it back on my saw and run it? Or will it mess up my piston or new bottom end?

A piston is only $35-$40. Go for it. You won't hurt a thing.

Alright, might not be a bad thing. Guess I am going to need to find another cylinder in the mean time. Anybody have one they want to get ride of? I am glad I tore this saw apart when I did. I just got a new 660 and have another 460 for my backup saw but am really wanting to get this saw good and fixed up.

oem piston is a bit more
