While I'm waiting on the piston kit and gasket kit, I'm going to work on cleaning the cylinder. What would you all recommend doing for cleaning it?

I saw an article that recommends using muriatic acid and sand paper to remove the scoring from the inside of the cylinder. Is that a good way to restore it to good condition?

I wont use acid. Elbow grease is all I do still or this. One day I will switch to this method

All the same stroke in the whole series of saws. Same crank. I want to say 32mm

O yeah. Senior moment. I forgot I got these saws after reading Arrowhead's "Ultimate sleeper" thread which talks about the common stroke of these poulans with Stihl 038 mag.

I just want to double check, but is this the correct cylinder for the 335? As far as I can tell it's the standard cylinder but the piston only had 1 ring so it couldn't have been standard.

And the piston... (not going to worry about cleaning it up since I've got a new one on the way)
