Want to Buy Poulan 4000 piston and rings

Just tossing out there....looking for a piston and rings or just rings for my uncles mint p
POULAN 4000 it an old saw when they were made.with a metal case. Please.let me know if have anything or know of someone. The

Good luck, I think they have been unobtanium for some years now. Perhaps..maybe..you can measure what you have and try to find some generic rings that way, so much MM by so much MM. Someone here or on the poulan sticky might already know the size.

Bad timing for you, sold my 4000 so I didnt need these hanging around. Moved 2 pairs in Dec-Jan. I'll let you know if I find anymore.

I measured them but my info is on the Chainsaw Repair site. That way it dont get lost. Think it will be very very hard to match up the thin ring.

I wonder if it is possible (something easy) to sand down thick rings to fit?

These rings are very thin. They're also steel instead of iron IIRC.
