I checked, and I don't see any scoring.

You can lift the jug up high enough to clear the studs.

The rod bolts are on top. It looks like there is enough clearance to remove the bolts.
So then you could remove the jug, piston and rod as one piece.
 
No pics yet, but I got the jug, piston, and rod out.
It was just enough room to get the rod bolts out.
Warning, if you ever do this the rod has roller bearings and they will drop inside of the saw.
No big deal. To fix the saw right it needs to be fully taken apart anyway.

The crank looks fine. Now if I can just get the piston to free up in the cylinder.
