Price on 044?

Local saw shop (Stihl dealer) has a used, rebuilt 044 for $625. This seems rather high. Link below:

Wise Ones whaddya think? A new MS362 is just a tad more. If this is all rebuilt, it's not a saw I want to tear into to fix up I don' think.

Not much else within several hundred miles 'cept a few 391's.

Leaning towards the new 362.

I agree. You should be able to find a nice used 460 for that price. I would keep looking.

They run $350-$400 in that condition on Craigslist here in Portland.

I bought an almost pristine 036 for $300

I would buy the MS 362 and a 6-pack of Ultra oil which
will double the warranty from 1 year to two years.

A rebuilt saw was rebuilt for some reason..what...ya dunno??
OEM or aftermarket parts used in rebuild?? OEM parts are $$$$
I would never buy a rebuilt saw unless from a Stihl dealer who
would have to guarantee my satisfaction or my $$ back.

Both my 192T and 200T were bought under those conditions.
$200 for the ms192T and $300 for the ms200T. It can be done!!

Just buy the ms362 and 6-pack of Ultra oil with double warranty.
You will never regret the purchase. The ms361 reputation is gold!!
