It is okay as long as your volumes agree with whatever the _local_ understanding of what rick or face cord is. Just please use cords or fractions on forums such as this so everyone knows what you are talking about.

I always use the term cord on this forum so people here will understand it and the term “face cord” in real life. A face cord as defined locally here is equally as accurate a measurement as anything since the only requirements are (1) that the surface area when stacked is 32 square feet, and (2) the length of the wood, which even an amateur can see in a few seconds of looking at the wood.
