will my quick release adjuster on my stihl ms261c fit my ms362 as I am going to sell my 261 and I will be fitting the same 20" blade on my ms362 looking forward to your advice thanks petefran

Not sure. Try cross referencing parts diagrams. If you want to sound better, say bar and chain instead of blade.

I think those things are more commonly called "tool-less chain adjuster." I can't answer the swap question...I suspect very few people want the tool-less on the 362.

Is the 261 running .325" chain? Most people will want 3/8" chain on the 362.

I seriously doubt the 362 will take it. I tried mounting my tool-less chain adjuster for my 251 C onto my beloved 026 PRO. both use .325" pitch chain. The 026 laughed at me. For one thing, the 26 PRO has two mounting studs, the 251C has only one for the adjuster to use.
