When you take a 3/8 chain back to the rear rivet and side grind it 15 thou to reduce kerf, the side of the raker is exactly flush laterally with the side of the cutter. It cuts very nicely and there is no rpm drop when the top of the chain enters the cut. Has anybody found what is best in this regard for timed cuts.

Hey Mike, Gypo posted a picture of him putting the pipe wrench to the cutters, so I,m not licked yet. There is enough material there that I could grind some off the side, but am wondering if it is better to have the raker rubbing than the cutters. This is new territory for me. I was at about 10 to 15 thou top raker clearance and brought them all to 25 and that is a bit to much for my 026 on frozen hard maple. Should be OK on the 65cc Husky when I get the 20 inch bar for it though. It is easy to overshoot and hard to put it back on.
