Greetings Jim, Thanks for taking the time to answer, I was about to cut down a standing dead, when my daughter motioned me to shut down the saw asking; "Do you want to eat breakfast first?"
The saw never ran again, Thinking it was flooded I pulled the plug and cleaned it up a bit with what I had, we were up in the woods, hard to believe the coil is bad, but the wire to the plug does have a small dint in it, from being pinched pressed under the side cover. That wouldn't injure a solid wire. I'll have wifey pick up a new spark plug hoping that's it.
I must have caused the darn problem Hard to believe the coil or plug would just die, I did clear the plug with a propane torch, but have done that several times with no bad results.

These coils seem a bit pricey.
