Recommended chain?

I've got a Poulan 38 cc with a 16" bar that needs a new chain. Any recommendations? Low profile or regular chain? Shihl or Oregan chain or ?

Personally I use only Stihl and Carlton chain. Carlton is rebranded as Woodsman Pro at Baileys. Now that Stihl has low profile full chisel non-safety PS chain though, I use almost all Stihl loops these days.

As Harley said let us know your pitch of chain so we can point you in the right direction.

And I agree on the Stihl chain. Costs more but holds up much better.

Yeah, that Stihl PS chain is some good stuff. You might also try some Oregon VXL. Keep in mind these are not "low/reduced kickback" chains.

That should be 3/8ths low profile or "lopro", not full 3/8ths pitch.
