I have 2 two 16" electric chainsaw bars that are basically new. They don't have a sprocket tip and use .050 ga chain, obviously made for 3/8 pico. I am thinking about grinding the mounting grooves, and putting full 3/8 on them and using them for carving and dirty cutting envrionments and brush with my Husky 359. Will this even be worth the effort and will the chain and power trash the nose on these little bars right away?

Are they stellite tip? That means is a layer of extra hard material applied near the nose. What is the nose radius? 359 is small Husky mount isn't it? For brush a sprocket tip and tight chain probably more desirable.
I am not sure if they are Stellite. The nose radius is small, under 2". Just curious if this would end up a quick and dangerous death or may last awhile.
