I have had a Remington SL10a for quite some time now and enjoy running it from time to time. I would use it more except for an annoying problem it seems to have. It overheats after about 10 minutes of use. It gets hot to where the gas is actually boiling in the tank ! :msp_scared: I can tell when it gets to that point as it won't idle anymore and shuts off. I have checked the saw over many times and see no obstructions in the cooling areas, I have tried different grades of gas, new plugs and am out of ideas....any ideas on what to try/look at next ? It just gets used for firewood cutting and is a fun saw to operate and wish this problem would go away.. ;)

Thanks

Todd

2 things come to mind.
Muffler getting stopped up.
Too lean, richen up the high side some and make sure it's 4-stroking.

Thanks Scooter....I know the muffler is clear, had it apart and no restriction. I will try to richen the mix.

Thanks !!!!

Todd
