After 8-10 years I got tired of my Mac3216's and gave it away. I have about 300 trees on my property mainly pine that need yearly branch trimming and culling a dead tree from time to time. The Mac handled all accept 14" oak. A dealer recommended a Husqvarna 137 or 142. I am looking for a saw that is less balky than the Mac. I was looking at Husqvarna 345 or 350, but the dealer said it was overkill for my needs. I do not mind paying for a quality product. I use the saw 3-4 times a year. Any recommendations?

Thank Paul

Go for a stihl MS361 or MS440 or if you really want a husqvarna then get a 365 as far as I am concerned these models are not really an overkill and that way you can also have a decent bar and chain range to use if you have to use a bar and chain that is over 16"

To me, theres no such thing as overkill, theres just, more saw than the tree wants to argue with.
