retrofit Damper in cb OWB

i built a greenhouse around my OWB...I added a magic heat exchanger in the OWB chimney and a damper. IM noticing massive reduction in wood consumption with that damper slowing air flow. I know, im burning a less efficient fire..and a cooler chimney will be a creasote night mare..but.i have a easy way to clean the chimney .has anyone tried a damper in thier OWB ?

I think they design the air flow to work in all kinds of situations and its oversized...the damper gives me a degree of control. Now I need to cob up a way to change the damper from the front of the boiler!
