I got my 511 setup today. This thing dwarfs the little toy I was using.
I find it amazing how easily I decided to modify a NEW machine.
First thing was examination, then thoughts for a few hours.
After deciding to go for it, it was a fairly simple process to add a switch and a few wires. Voided the warranty. Oh the shame!

I will have to figure out how to diagram this out if anyone is interested in making the swap and having sparks() in your lap.

I played with a bit with a scrap hunk, and it is a well made machine. Runs smooth, and accurite.

My grinder has the reversable switch/motor from the factory, and I use it that way.
Never a beard/mustache fire yet. I feel it gives a crisper edge on the right hand cutters.
Do you use the tilt vise for full chisel too?

no beard

Used to have one.... burned it off...

I have only seen one style of chain with the 10 deg offset cutters.
It sorta made sense to reverse the for the other 1/2 of the chain.

I got a large pile of chain to try it out on. I had limited sucess with the little grinder, now it is time to get SERIOUS!! :blob5:

I made a drawing of the wiring if anyone wants to try it, email me if anyone wants a copy.
