Pioneer, do U mean 1886 Winchester??? (AKA 86). My Uncle had an 86 in 50-110 (very rare).

Also, all the Stihl saws that have a SN starting with 2 instead of 1 are made in the USA (like my 362 C-M).

Yes sir, an 1886 Winchester lever in 45 - 70 cal.

They are very nice rifles. My Model 71 (348 Winchester) is actually based on a hardened 86 action. IMO, the 86 & 92 were much smoother to operate than the 94.

The oldest 94`s werent too bad but the newer, after 1964 aren`t worth spit.They are rough and sloppy, rattle bad when just being carried.

I agree, the stamped parts were not as smooth, but those double side bars were even smoother!

Hey, my cousin still has my Uncle's (a different Uncle) old 94 chambered in 32-40 Winchester, with a 26" round barrel.
