Rookie muffler mod on 026

Opened up the mufler on my 026 today & getting ready to install a 3 screw carb.

Since I have never done a muffler mod, what do you all think ????????

looks fairly good, I modified the muffler in a similar manner on mine.

Mine's similar too, but I took just about the whole rectangle/raised area out. No complaints from me.

Looks good, the older models had three holes there, so you can enlarge the hole some more. And if you want to live with more noise. Remove the screen, and drill three smaller holes all the way through, about the size of the holes on the outside of the muffler. Keeps the exhaust from going on to the handle; and the noise goes out the front. Not a problem for you; but, you should be wearing ear protection anyway.

my cover had 4 holes instead of 3. I just dremelized that a bit, and improved the outlet some more.
