I knew nothing about it but got this beast a while back and it's a runner. According to Acres site and others this model is a reversible bar (inside/outside mount)

I hope my super 754 can idle like that. Great saw and excellent workmanship marine-piper.

I can't get it to run any slower or is the clutch kinda grabby? Saw hasn't been run in over a decade and I just rebuilt the carb (hl159a)

tuning the high-speed was even more fun. My dad had ear plugs and ear muffs on. Next weekend will be the first time it sees some wood hopefully in atleast 10+ years.

That handle, carb guard, and tag tell me that saw is a Remington Pro Bow. Does it have floating rim type sprocket? I had one with 7/16" chain and a factory bow, all since traded away.

Doubt no more! I've run the saw for quite a while and again today and the muffler is still secure.

Hey marine-piper, I seen this muffler yesterday made me think of that one saw you got. Not sure if it would fit or not or be a suitable replacement for that iel muffler on your remington.
