Need some help guys.
I have a husky 359 18” bar..325 pitch and 50.gauge, think it’s a m72 combo
I have a newly acquired husky 365
With. 24” bar. 3/8 pitch and it’s 58 gauge. I don’t want a 24 “ bar would like to drop it down to 18” as well.

It would be ideal if I could run the same Bar/chain combo on the 365.
I know I’d have to swap out the drive
Gear to .325 to run a 325 pitch chain...325 /.50 chain are easy to get
Around here even big box stores have that combo.
So the question would a m72 bar/chain 18” 325 pitch with a 50 gauge chain work on a husky 365 if
The drive gear is swapped to .325.
Thanks

I'm not that experienced on huskys but suspect a 365 is a large spline drive. If that's the case then you'll have to jump to a 9 tooth drive to run .325 pitch chain. This will maybe kick your saw in the head for grunt power but someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

No way I'd run .325 on a 365, It will perform much better with 3/8 chain. Actually 3/8 is what I'd run on a 359.
Bars wont swap, but if both had 3/8, 18" bars same gauge, you could use same chain on both saws.

Same here 3/8" on both. Never had a 359 come in my shop w/.325. All 10 or so of my 357's & 359's came with 18" or 20" 3/8" chain.

Finding an old 362xp clutch side case half is basically your only option to run both k095 bars. I’d run a 20” on both then chains would swap at least.
