Saw classes for this year will be 55-65-85cc. Seems a lot of you was split between 3-4-5 cube and 54-64-84cc. We are going to stick to are roots and keep it firewood saw with cc classes. Same rules apply as previous years. No race gas or race saws. No pipes or homemade mufflers they must have factory looking mufflers. Chain is round file or grind no square file chains.
In addition to this announcement we are doing a dollar cut log. This is a 50/50 competition. Single cut best time win’s half the pot. Saws must be in compliance with the saw fest rules. No square grind, pipes, race saws, or race gas(nitro, methane alcohol). Run whatever cc you please up to 94cc
Friday October 13th Test and Tune 3:30-5:30 pm followed by clone wars at 6:00pm you must run both the 660 and 372 in order to be eligible for the prize saw. Trophies will be awarded on Saturday. The wild thing shootout (stock bore & stroke) will follow the clone competition. Saturday October 14th start time will be 9:00am. Classes for Saturday (Not in order) 55-65-85cc saw classes. Barrel split-pole saw race (Pole saw is provided). Limbing contest (saw of your choice) ms170(stock bore & stroke) cheap saw shootout.
Rules for this year. No two piece head on any saws. This is still a firewood saw competition. All regular saw class must run on pump gas including clones. No race fuel methanol, nitro, methane nitro, propane, or alcohol. Must have stock appearing muffler. No pipes homemade mufflers  or expansion chambers. You cannot share saws in these competitions. You must run your own saws. (no sharing of saws) The cheap saw shootout and wild thing classes are excluded from those rules.
The clone wars and cc classes must have chain brakes on them. They don’t have to function, but must be on the saw. Felling dogs are optional in all classes. Bar and chain requirements. Clone wars-660 must run a 24” round file chain. 372 must run a 20” round file chain. Saturday cc classes 55cc- must run a .325 round file chain. 65-85cc 3/8 round file chain. I do recommend at least a 24” bar for the 85cc class. Wild thing must be a 3/8 lp round file chain. Cheap saw shootout 170 is both round or square file. All classes up to 65cc with be cutting 8x8 or 9x9 cants. Larger cc class wood has yet to be determined.
The top three saws in each class will be brought up for inspection this year. The 170 and wild thing is excluded. All classes will have saws running on the ground and hands on the wood. Both the 170 and wild thing is excluded from that.
