Saw Mill Still Uses Steam Power

Is there a metal detector somewhere in this operation? I wouldn't want to work 2 feet away from that huge blade without knowing that there's no spikes in there!
 
I may have to take a drive. That is just amazing, I had no idea mills in the US were still being operated on steam and Armstrong techniques. I would say the off barer has his work cut out. One slip of a big slab and he could look like a fly on a fly swatter
 
Thanks for the page!! It was awsome to see the mill at work, he did an great job with the pics.

It is cool that the whole mill (for the most part) is self contained for energy production.

BOys get a woodmizer LT 40 Super hydralic and mount a 4 cylinder cumMins turbo diesel on it.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THAT WOULD BE BETTER THEN STEAM POWER. CUMMINS POWER:blob2:
