When my firewood gathering season is sadly over what is the reccomended maintainence for my saw, besides draining the gas Husky 359

i drain the fuel, run the motor till it starts sputtering and kill it. pull the bar and clean the groove. wipe the bar down and spray with WD-40 to protect from rust. (only spraying the bar/chain) check and clean or replace air filter. fill up bar oil and leave that in. if you want to apply something to the plastic areas, use something with NO alcohol (armorall ends up making things worse)
while the bar is off grease the clutch bearing and sprocket areas. this way when you need to use the saw, add fuel, check bar oil and cut! its ready.
just dont use any protectants on the handles of the saw.. suckers get real slick and hard to hold on to! :)
