You can grease some bear paws and they will be zigzagging all over the place. Maybe you can grab one by the neck.Grease guns at the ready. Just cause you are not paranoid doesn't mean they are not out to get you.

I get that.I retired 15 months ago. I'm trying to clean up our woodlot that keeps getting hammered by ice storms and this last one with 27" of heavy wet snow. It keeps me pretty busy.
I'm not sure, but I think he uses one of these on his chains, I need to order a couple to try them out.Thank you. That is what I wanted to know. That is pretty much what i run them at. When i measured .075 on the 394xp I was shocked.
Yea , that would made a nice mill logI get that.
I've been working on this pond project out back in my time off.
This was yesterday after smoothing it out since I knew we had freezing temps coming, makes it a little easier to walk on it vs frozen mud tracks .

Heading down there in a bit, moving slow today lol.
Taking out the three small trees near the larger red oak on the left in this pic and do a bit of cleanup, then tomorrow or Tuesday I'll probably drop the red oak.

Got a nice log out of the red oak I dropped yesterday, and a bunch more bucket loads of rounds.
Little stihl even snuck into this picture.

They work pretty good, I still use my old Carlton File-o plateI'm not sure, but I think he uses one of these on his chains, I need to order a couple to try them out.
They are a progressive style, so they remove more off the raker as the cutter is filled back. So using a setting of .025 at on a new chain may give to .025, but on a well used chain you will be closer to .035 or even .040. The principle of this style gauge is that as the cutter is filed back there is more distance between the cutter and the raker and the angle("angle of attack") is what is needed vs a set depth.

It's out front with a couple other red oak logs and then I have at least one decent cherry log out there too.Yea , that would made a nice mill log
I don't have one of those either, are you still able to buy those. They work pretty good, I still use my old Carlton File-o plate
I like that. On my list to buy.I'm not sure, but I think he uses one of these on his chains, I need to order a couple to try them out.

Yea , Fee bay has them sometimes, that vise is really nice, it holds the drivers rock solid,I’ve scrubbed a bunch of chains and the end vise feature , works really good on square chain sharpening, had mine about a month nowIt's out front with a couple other red oak logs and then I have at least one decent cherry log out there too.

I talked to "homey" on opeforum about getting me a vise when he gets more made, I'm on the list I guess.
Nahhh, they’re all taken. My 3 bro-in-laws are good guys too. I’m blessed. Even my two bro-in-laws from my sisters are great fellas. I got real lucky in that departmentEnjoy your trip!
PS are any your beautiful wife's sisters single?...My dowry includes a Model 71 plus a bonus .35 Whelen built on a springfield action.
Properly tuned chain is the NUMBER ONE modification to cut faster. Porting and muffler mods are cool. But a good chain is hard to beat! Thanks.
It's just a muffler modded 2260 with the decomp plugged, no other mods.
a properly tuned chain makes a lot of difference.
I had meant to ask why you were getting rid of it, maybe they will tell you to just keep it .
What are your plans moving forward?
Yup , it’s all in the filing, and or grindProperly tuned chain is the NUMBER ONE modification to cut faster. Porting and muffler mods are cool. But a good chain is hard to beat!
I believe it shows who the lender was, as well as the original principal, correctYou stalker .
Funny how people put stuff out in the public, then get upset about you reading it or seeing it .
Kinda in the same line is when I ask people how much they paid for their home, then they say private, that's when I look it up on zillow and tell them no it's not. What they would be really surprised to know is their loan/lean info isn't either.
I like the old story about the sisters wrestling each other. I can’t say I’ve ever seen that happen.Nahhh, they’re all taken. My 3 bro-in-laws are good guys too. I’m blessed. Even my two bro-in-laws from my sisters are great fellas. I got real lucky in that department
The big question is were those in a straight line, an arc, or a zigzag?Spring is here View attachment 1067286
Biggest problem I have with a 550mk2 is the weight, I mean dolmar had the 5105 for a long time with the same specs lol. The 261 is a nice runner in the 50cc class, and light, too bad it doesn't handle as well as the mk1 or the mk2 .Time to break in the little demon, for a little while, that thing pretty hot outta the box , wakes up even more with the mods View attachment 1067310
That much for sure, it used to show much more. I had some property investment software that would pool the info and it had much of the info from the accessors sites on the same page when you pulled up a property. I didn't do much with that software, but I knew enough to buy this place when everyone else said it was a bad time to buy lol. I wouldn't mind getting into selling real estate once the kids get older. I've already owned a bunch of places for resale including vacant land, but I think selling it for others would be pretty fun. Back 12 yrs ago I was half way thru my hrs to get my license here in michigan, but I took a job driving instead of finishing them, probably should have stuck with it, but I don't regret what I did .I believe it shows who the lender was, as well as the original principal, correct
Better for the lazy younger? Yes it is!Wish I was 18 , well maybe not this world isn’t getting better for the younger.

I really like my 550mk1's though, best handling 50cc saw I've ever ran, and blows a 346 out of the water with the same mods in every aspect except except simplicity for repairs, but if they need something major I'd just sell it full disclosure on here.
346
mk1
mk2
Then a monkey ported old school 261cm in some michigan softwood for the stihl fanboys .
