What kind of sealant should I be using for the case on my chainsaw? Going to be changing crank seals, deleting head gasket (or whatever it's called) for higher compression. Probably opening up the case to inspect my bearings and clean out any junk that got in there from the crank seal leaking. Also measuring the piston for collapse at the skirts. Anything else i should be doing?

Hondabond, yamabond? I assume?

I use Permatex Motoseal. Its easier for me to get and don't carry the motorcycle shop price tag.

Any auto parts that is a Permatex dealer can get it if they don't stock it. The one auto parts that did order it for me decided to keep a couple tubes in stock and now report they sell quite a bit of it.

I just use a little bit of Permatex Ultra Gray I think it is. Probably don't need any but as far as I'm concerned a little can't hurt.
