Season to trim live oaks?

A lady that I know wants her live oak trimmed. She was telling me this is not the best time of year to trim live oaks and that she would call me in December. Correct me but I thought this is the best time of year to trim oaks.
 
here are some rules i go by and tell people about for trimming live (and any white oak)

generally, between late february and september i wouldn't trim any live stuff except for diseased and dead limbs, which can be done year round.

if you're dealing with limbs around 4" and smaller, now is okay

anything over that and you wanna wait til it's good and cold
