Securing wood stockpile offsite

How does everyone secure their processed wood when it not stored at your home?
I'm running out of room and thinking of getting another lot to store it at but would be 2-3 miles away.

Secure it? Mostly impossible "if they want it, they will get it" About the best I can think of is a lot next to someone you know who can keep an eye on it.

Some game cameras or other surveillance equip _might_ get the thieves arrested but probably wouldn't getyour wood back.

I keep my wood on my moms farm. She has security cameras along with a sign saying smile you're on camera. Oh I forgot, she knows how to use a shotgun and has fired warning shots towards the woods,in the back to get the attention do people lurking out by the road in the front.

The only real way is to sell it, deliver it, and keep the cash in your wallet.

Security cameras with recordings of shotgun blasts would help.

Tall chainlink fence and a locked gate is about as good as one can do. Should keep the honest people out and a lot of effort for someone to try to circumvent for firewood. The cost to install such may exceed the benefit of having it off site.
