After a storm toppled a main leader on our New Harmony Elm, the city crew person left this ragged edge.
Should I use a chainsaw to cut in flat horizontally a little bit to remove the splintered wood and make a more clean squared wound for healing with out all that the splintered wood where insects could hide and infest?
