What is tis exactly? Is it just another nme for a Cypress? My humidor is built from Spanish Cedar but I cant find any reading materail on this species.

It is one of the two "accepted" woods to line a humidor, the other is mahogany. Not sure of the actual specie name for it. But if you are buying for a humi, it's gotta be kiln dried. If not it can leak pitch later.

Also, alot of cigar fans believe that the cigars age better in the spanish cedar.

I am not planning to buy any for qa humidor I am just wondering what species of wood my humidor is made of. I agree that cedar is the best also. I have never actually seen a Mahogany one.
