I figure I am into the latter part of cord number 7. By the end of March I figure I will have used about 8 cords for the winter of 2012/13. Last winter was a spoiler, it was so mild. This year has been more "normal", whatever that is. We certainly had colder temps this year and more wind to boot. Just thankful I had what I had for wood. I scored some locust last week that I could burn this year as it was standing dead and bone dry, hopefully I will not need it this winter and can add it to next years stacks out behind the pole barn. But I've got it if I need it, I never trust that lying groundhog that lives up the road from me
