Hello all,

I’m new to porting and lathe work. I’m trying to find if there is a general consensus on good dimensions for a cylinder mounting block for a 4 jaw chuck to allow boring/ squish band cutting. I’m Looking at working on 50cc+ saws.

I have only been able to find pictures and videos of the cylinders already mounted and in the chuck. My searches haven’t turned up much as far as what material/size and thickness works best

Are folks using a certain type of billet block and drilling holes to match whichever cylinder they are working on?

Cheers
