Stick crane vs Knuckle boom for tree work?

I want to hear pros and cons from both sides. I have a national 500 straight crane and have been looking at knuckle booms as a possible replacement one day. Being used to a straight crane with a winch it seemes like a kboom would be more of a hassle getting stuff down, having to lower the boom every time.

I don't do tree work but I love my rear mounted hiab I got last month. Makes me wonder how I got by with out one. You could get a kboom with a winch.
