Stihl 011AV vs. Mac FR5618

Have both of the above. Stihl only has a 14 inch bar and runs top notch. The piece of junk Mac is a FR4618. Can't get any one to work on it and the Mac support line is terrible. Ordered a manual 3 weeks ago for $20 and it still hasn't arrived. Will the 18 inch bar on the MAC fit the Stihl? How do i replace the fuel filer on Mac? Anyone ever hear of the Mac FR 4618??? Gregg

No the bar will not swap, the saw is a monster to work on, thus no one will
touch it. Parts are impossible to obtain, and the FR stands for factory
reconditioned.
Anything else?

If I were you, I'd keep the Stihl, and toss that mac in the junker pile, its not built like the ones they made in the 70's. the stihl will last a lifetime if you treat it right, and take good care of it.

I have no experience with the Mac,

but can say that the 011 is a rock solid saw, even though it's a little dated by modern standards. Run the 011 until there's nothing else that you can do to save it.
