Got a local guy selling his 015L. what’s a fair price i should offer him? has a case with it and it looks garage kept. haha
claims it runs great, i only have the pics he’s sent. haven’t seen it in person. where’s the choke lever located?Does it run? Is the choke lever Ok???
It is the most common thing to break or lose on the saw, and very hard to find new, as well as the oiler gear. I cannot tell from your pics if the choke lever is still there and working.claims it runs great, i only have the pics he’s sent. haven’t seen it in person. where’s the choke lever located?
Where did you find the sprocket and oiler gear at? Has someone started making them?I bought mine for $100 cash and a couple of beers. It needed a new fuel line and a clean up. That was about it. Recently I changed it from 1/4" pitch .043" gauge to 3/8" pitch 0.050" gauge. I'm surprised that it still runs as well as it does. Likely it was a shelf queen most of the time:

As I recall, I found both at a local lawnmower shop by some miracle:Where did you find the sprocket and oiler gear at? Has someone started making them?

i see you have many.. are they great saws? or you just like tinkering on them? had an old fella tell me, they have the best power to weight ratio of any saw Stihl has ever made. told him i find that hard to believe.. no way!!! hahahaStarting to get grandpa's old 015L going for my father, but I don't know what happened four days later. It must gotten water on it and fed after midnight.
Went to get a few parts for my grandpa's 015, came back home with the rest. I'm hoping to get one or two running after my grandpa's. One will be my son's first saw, the second for fun.i see you have many.. are they great saws? or you just like tinkering on them? had an old fella tell me, they have the best power to weight ratio of any saw Stihl has ever made. told him i find that hard to believe.. no way!!! hahaha
