Stihl 026 carb replacement

I purchased a replacement carb for my 026 which had a Walbro WT 403B on it. The one I bought says it replaces the 403B, but as shown in the picture (new one on the right) it is slightly different. Will this work? What is the pipe that sticks out on the new carb? The new one also has H and L adjustment where mine just had one, but I assume that should be fine as long as they are adjusted properly. Thanks for any info!

The pipe is for air compensation through the air filter. You can swap the top pieces.

If you want to leave the new carb alone change the air filter to the compensated one.

Swapping the top covers on the carb is the easiest route. If swapping the filters then most often the tank vent needs to be changed or modified to accommodate the bigger compensated airfilter.

194 non-compensator 426 compensator, or switch the covers

Thanks, I switched the cover plates. Is the old carb worth anything? It's OEM but this amateur couldn't rebuild it and get it to work.

Is the replacement an OEM or a china carb? I keep several 194 carbs in my stash. My 026 and both 024s have been fitted with that carb, seems to work really well.

The adjustable H is worth the effort.
