Hey guys, I have an 028 Super, bought used, ran fine, for a few days. Than all a sudden wouldn’t start, got it started and wouldn’t stay running. Took it to a friends shop, was told it could prolly use a tune up, new lines, filter, plug. The old gas line was very elastic so he said it was prolly sucking closed. I replaced all parts, tried to start wouldn’t, got it started, with it being choked, switched to start runs real hard and the moment I hit the trigger I bogs down and dies. Any suggestions?

Like Harley said... carb rebuild. That means a new kit and not just a cleaning. There's really no reason to continue troubleshooting until it is done.
K10-wat should be the kit if it's the Walbro carb.

I was thinking that could be the next option a carb. I’ll buy a new carb and try that. Thank You

Yeah, can’t get it to run long enough. Now here’s something at least weird to me. The cover has an H and L setting But there is only one screw. I haven’t came across this before, usually two screws for lean etc.

Yeah, i pulled it off looked good. But I’m sure looks can be deceiving. Just throwing me off with the one screw but H and L cover

Choke flapping shut? Is carb screen/inlet clean? Same with fuel filter/line.

Will it run with a splash of mix?

Mine came with a tilliston carb w/Hi Lo

When I went inside it was just a clogged screen.

Update, did find the H and L screws very small( Walbrn) carb. I’m gonna add some photos, removed carb again, cleaned it out actually opened blew out the carb was actually to finally get the saw up and running but every time I touched that trigger it wanted to die was messing with it trying to adjust it, wouldn’t really adjust. Idle screw was not working right, trigger system something seems off. Carb flap doesn’t move with choke switch, or to start switch.

The flap for the choke is built into your air filter. When it’s in place the choke switch will open and close it.

These are relatively simple saws. I have owned several and they are my favorite. The trigger, the safety interlock, and the switch are all designed to work together. In order to get the switch control into the choke or start position you have the trigger fully depressed. The switch shaft on these is more often then not broken due to be forced into the choke position without the trigger being squeezed. I can't quite tell from the pictures but it appears as if the choke tab may be broken off the switch shaft on yours.
